ExpressJet Holdings Inc (NYSE:XJT) a US-based regional carrier, has reported that its traffic increased by dint of 12.4% in August 2006.

The carrier, which operates Continental Expres services for Continental Airlines, reported that its traffic increased to 9558m income passenger miles (RPMs) in August from 8503m RPM a year before.

ExpressJet also said that its capacity increased by the agency of 9.9% to 1.22bn available seat miles (ASMs), from 111bn ASMs in the same month last year.
